HMIS Integration
Hospital information systems post into Business Central or Finance & Operations. No re-key.
HMIS Integration is the hospital integration engine on Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Any hospital information system posts patients, bills, receipts, deposits, reversals and refunds into staging. The product checks for duplicates, maps hospital codes to Dynamics 365 keys, and posts through the standard ledger and inventory. Insurer and patient portions are split on the same transaction. A receipt waits for its bill. A refund waits for its credit note. A row that fails is kept. It is retried when the fault is transient, reprocessed after a fix, or cancelled with a reason and an owner. Bills are reconciled to invoices, the payer share to vouchers, receipts to the bank, and pharmacy stock to inventory. Dynamics 365 publishes payers, prices, stock events, settlements and dimensions back to the hospital system. On Finance & Operations the hospital system writes only to staging, over OData, with a Microsoft Entra ID application and a service user that cannot post. Posting runs as a batch through standard Finance & Operations. On Business Central the same documents arrive through the API and post as standard sales, cash and item documents. A new hospital system is a set of maps — codes, channels, payers, items and dimensions — maintained on the workspace. It is not a new integration project. One workspace shows what was received, what posted, what failed, and how far behind the queue is.
